WA; Man to front court charged with hit and run

A 34-year-old man will today front court charged over a hit and run crash in which
a woman and her lawyer were mown down outside Perth's Family Court.

Perth detectives yesterday arrested and charged the man from Stirling, in Perth's north.

He faces two counts of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving
and failing to stop after a traffic crash.

West Australian police will allege the man deliberately drove his white Ford Fairlane
into a 33-year-old Northam woman as she walked outside the the Family Court in Terrace
Road about 10am (WST) yesterday.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with injuries and abrasions to her arms, legs and body.

Police will also allege the man deliberately drove the same vehicle into a 44-year-old
Padbury man, causing injuries to his arms, legs and bruising to his back.

He's due to appear in the Perth Court of Petty Sessions today.
