SA: Robbery victims forgot simple security steps

A survey of robbery victims has found that many people don't take simple steps to prevent
break-ins.

In a pilot project in Adelaide, trained volunteers have visited about 160 victims to
provide advice about security measures and offer other assistance within 48 hours of the crime
taking place.

They have found many people have adequate security hardware, but do not use it properly.
